What is a seat in the school version?
A student account that your school hands out. You buy as many seats as you have students taking part – say 25 for a first class – and add more when the next class joins. Billing is per school year, from 25 seats.
Basis or Plus?
Plus, if your students are meant to talk to the tutor in lessons, for example on school devices. Basis, if they mainly write to it at home on their own phones. You can start with Basis and switch later.
Why does the pilot cost €1,000 when seats are much cheaper later on?
Because in the pilot you are mainly buying our time: the setup, adapting tutor.new to your materials and 1:1 support for every teacher in the first weeks. The software is the smaller part of it.
Why do I pay more as a teacher than for a student subscription?
Because you are not buying one account but the tools for a class: sign-in codes for your students, work plans, reports and a view into every focus session. Your students’ accounts are included.
Do parents have to pay anything if the school uses tutor.new?
No. With the teacher’s sign-in code, the terms of the school or of your teacher account apply. No private subscription is needed – what families pay privately is on the pricing page for parents.
Do we need new devices?
No. Any device with internet access will do, including students’ own phones. tutor.new runs in the browser and as an app.
